About Address Generator
By RandomAddress.org Team · Last updated: September 14, 2026
Address Generator is a free, privacy-friendly online tool that creates realistic, locally-formatted random addresses for 35 countries across the world. It is designed for developers, testers, students, and anyone who needs plausible address data without compromising real people's privacy.
What It Does
Every address the tool generates follows the correct format for its country: the right street structure, valid postcode pattern, appropriate name order (western or eastern), and locally-authentic place names. You can generate addresses by selecting a country and region, or by entering an IP address to produce an address in the location associated with that IP.
The tool supports 35 countries, including the United States, China, Japan, South Korea, Germany, France, Italy, Poland, Spain, Mexico, Peru, Brazil, India, Indonesia, Pakistan, the Philippines, Vietnam, Turkey, Thailand, the United Kingdom, Canada, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Uzbekistan, and Malaysia.
Why We Built It
Developers and QA engineers frequently need test data that looks and behaves like real addresses — for populating databases, testing checkout forms, validating internationalization, and prototyping user interfaces. Using real people's addresses raises privacy concerns, while completely fake data often fails format validation. Address Generator fills this gap with realistic, format-compliant data that uses real cities, streets, and valid postcodes, but with randomly generated names and house numbers.
How It Works
All address generation happens in your browser. The tool draws from a built-in dataset of real administrative divisions, cities, streets, and postal codes for each country.
Address generation
When you generate an address, the tool randomly selects a region and city, constructs a street address using real street names, picks a name from that country's common name pools, and formats everything according to local conventions.
IP geolocation
The IP geolocation feature uses free, public IP databases to determine the city and country associated with an IP address, then generates a realistic address in that city. Public IP data is only accurate to the city or region level, so the tool generates a plausible address within that area — never a real person's exact home.
Privacy First
Address Generator does not require registration, login, or any personal information. Addresses you choose to save are stored only in your browser's local storage and never leave your device. We do not collect or sell personal data. Read our Privacy Policy for details.
Responsible Use
The generated addresses are intended for testing, development, education, and privacy protection. They must not be used for fraud, identity theft, or any illegal activity. Please review our Terms of Service for the full acceptable-use policy.
Free and Open
Address Generator is completely free to use, with no usage limits on address generation. It is hosted on Cloudflare's global edge network for fast, reliable access worldwide. If you have feedback, feature requests, or questions, please contact us.
Data Sources & Citations
Address Generator's datasets are assembled from public, authoritative references for country structure, place names, and postal formats. Key sources include:
- Universal Postal Union (UPU) — international postal standards and address-format references used to model each country's postal code structure.
- ISO 3166-1 country codes — the two-letter country codes used across this site and in our URL structure.
- GeoNames — open geographic data for cities, administrative divisions, and place names.
- OpenStreetMap — community-sourced street data used to build realistic street-name pools.
- National statistics and postal authorities — for population-weighted city distributions and local naming conventions.
All generated addresses are synthetic: they combine real place names with randomly generated names and house numbers, and must not be used for actual mail delivery.
